Safety, destigmatised.

We believe protection should be something you're proud to carry — not hidden at the bottom of a bag out of shame.

About Us

A mixed team with a single conviction

We're a team of engineers, designers and advocates united by one belief: safety tools shouldn't be hidden away out of embarrassment.

HaloZen was born from the idea that personal safety should be accessible, tactile and destigmatised. By embedding reliable alarm technology into beautifully crafted plush companions, we're making protection something you'll actually want to carry — every day, everywhere.

Our goal is simple: create a safer world, starting with the objects closest to you.

What we stand for

Built on three principles

Reliable protection

A genuine 140dB alarm in every plush — not a gimmick. Safety you can count on when it matters most.

Warmth over fear

Safety products don't have to feel clinical or scary. Ours are soft, friendly and genuinely lovely to own.

Made for everyone

Accessible, affordable and destigmatised. Everyone deserves to feel safe walking home — no exceptions.

THE IDEA

A frustration becomes a mission

We kept hearing the same thing: personal alarms felt embarrassing to carry. So we set out to reinvent them as something you'd be proud to show off.

SPITALFIELDS

Our debut trade fair

Over half our inventory sold in a single event. Customers and judges loved it — and we walked away as runner-up for Best Product.

BRENT CROSS

We sold out entirely

Demand took us by surprise. We ramped up production to keep up with a growing wave of bulk orders.

TODAY

Growing the guardian family

New designs, new companions and a community that keeps growing — all built around one goal: making everyone a little safer.

Trade Fairs

Every stall, a milestone

From our very first stall to sold-out events, each trade fair has shaped the HaloZen story.

Spitalfields

Our debut trade fair marked an exceptional beginning — over half of our inventory sold within the first event alone. The response from customers and industry judges was overwhelmingly positive, giving us invaluable insight that shaped the next iteration of our product.

We're proud to have been awarded runner-up for "Best Product" — a testament to the quality and vision behind HaloZen.

Brent Cross Shopping Centre

Brent Cross

Building on the momentum from Spitalfields, our Brent Cross appearance exceeded all expectations — we sold out entirely. The overwhelming demand took the team by surprise, sparking an immediate push to ramp up production for upcoming events and fulfil a growing wave of bulk orders from eager customers.

It confirmed what we'd hoped: people want safety that feels warm, personal and beautifully made.

Marketing Award & second place

Our journey took us to the Young Enterprise London Quarter Finals, where months of product development, customer feedback and brand-building paid off. We were incredibly proud to win the Marketing Award and finish second overall, narrowly missing out on the top spot.

As for what happened afterwards? The team placed ahead of us was later disqualified. So officially, we came second. Unofficially… we'll let you do the maths.

More importantly, the event showed us that the idea had grown far beyond a school project. The response from judges, customers and other teams gave us the confidence to keep developing the product and take the business further.

That momentum eventually took us beyond the competition itself. In May 2026, our story was featured in The Times under the headline “Schoolgirls' reinvented safety alarm set to go global.” The article covered the idea behind our discreet plush safety alarms, our success selling more than 200 units across London, our customisable designs, and the international interest the project had begun attracting.
